Participate in the Community Love Run Hosted by Neftin Volkswagen near Thousand Oaks, CA
Are you looking to support the community while socially distancing? Have some non-perishable goods to donate or are looking to raise money for a good cause? In February, Neftin Volkswagen is hosting the 27th Annual Community Love Run in the Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. Continue reading below to learn more about this fundraiser:
What is Community Love Run?
The Community Love run is a virtual event coming to the Thousand Oaks community in February 2021. The program benefits the Senior Concerns’ Meals on Wheels Program, which helps support and feed senior citizens in our area. To participate, you can register yourself or a team to join one of five virtual races. Each option can be done at any pace you wish and at any time in the month of February. The following distance races are available:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Home Helpers 10K (6.2 miles)
- Tuesday Tribe 5K (3.1 miles)
- California American Water Walk/Run (1 mile)
- New Doggie Dash (For furry friends!)

Fundraise or Donate to Senior Concerns to Support the Local Community
Before or during the festivities, please consider supporting the cause by donating or raising money for the cause. Every $10 raised from donations provide two fresh, nutritious, and hot meals to a senior in our community! Especially during the pandemic, older communities can use our help to keep our community strong. Since Senior Citizens have a growing need for delivered meals programs, helping raise money can change the lives of at-risk community members in these tough times! The Senior Concerns program also runs a volunteer-led pantry that accepts household essentials and non-perishable items you can support.

While the Love Run does not start until the month of February, you can still sign up early and drum up support from coworkers, friends, and family. The community surrounding Thousand Oaks and other areas has been an immense help, and Neftin Volkswagen wants to keep the generosity flowing! Register today!
