Believe it or not, Labor Day is coming up fast, meaning you’ll need a list of things to do for Labor Day weekend 2016 near Thousand Oaks CA and throughout the Conejo Valley area. 2016 Labor Day Weekend Events and Activities Conejo Valley CA
Enjoy some chili, along with a carnival and fair throughout Labor Day weekend. The event opens at 6 p.m. on the Friday before Labor Day weekend and then opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The event takes place at 23789 Stuart Ranch Road in Malibu.
If you really like chili or cook-offs, you can also check out this one in nearby Camarillo. The event takes place on Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Camarillo Ranch. There will also be poker, live music and much more.
The Aloha Beach Festival in Ventura takes place Sept. 3 and 4 this year. You’ll be able to enjoy some unique events like K9 Frisbee and a surf contest. You’ll find much more fun to have at the event, so be sure to check it out.
Head over to Ventura for a car show taking place Sept. 3 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. In addition to the cars, there will be other entertainment like The Wall of Death for motorcycle daredevils, vendors and music.
If you’re willing to drive a bit, you can head up to the Lake Casitas Recreation Area for Astronomy Nights. There is one taking place on Sept. 3 at 8:30 p.m. titled “Farewell to the Summer Milky Way and Planets.” Those attending should meet at Picnic #1 by the Santa Ana launch ramp.
If you have young children, consider attending Fairy Tales in the Park at one of a few locations. Over Labor Day weekend, there will be performances of The Boy Wizard in the Land of Oz in Westlake Village at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 3, Simi Valley at 4 p.m. on Sept. 3 and Channel Island Harbor at 2 p.m. on Sept. 4.
