A turbocharged, 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine which produces 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque powers every 2019 Volkswagen Jetta model. The base trim comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission system, though an eight-speed automatic transmission system is available for the base trim and comes standard in every other trim level. The 2019 Jetta is offered in five trims: S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium.

The 2019 Jetta’s 1.4L engine received a combined city/highway travel rating of 34 miles per gallon from the Environmental Protection Agency. When driving on city roads, the 2019 Jetta gets 30 miles per gallon. On the highway, the 2019 Jetta was rated for 39 miles per gallon. This sedan features a driving range of 396 miles in the city and 514.8 miles on the highway.
Technology features include an available navigation system with an eight-inch touchscreen interface and Volkswagen Digital Cockpit. Both features allow drivers to access conveniences such as turn-by-turn guidance, travel time estimation, elevation information and high-resolution digital maps that highlight local sites.
