There will no doubt be many 2016 summer concerts and music festivals in Thousand Oaks CA and the surrounding area of Conejo Valley. Taking place June 4, this is a must-attend festival for country music fans. The event is happening between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. and is packed full of great artists. You’ll be able to hear such artists as Rodney Atkins, Chase Bryant and The Other Words. The music will be playing at Conejo Creek South Park at 1300 E. Janss Rd.
Cajun and Blues Music Festival in Simi Valley CA
If you like Blues and good food, then this Cajun and Blues Music Festival is just for you. In addition to hearing artists like Guy Martin, Barbara Morrison, Booker T and the Rebirth Brass Brand, you’ll be able to enjoy delicious Cajun-Creole food. There is even a Mardi Gras parade each day of the event. The festival takes place on May 28 and 29, over Memorial Day weekend, at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Park in Simi Valley.
Music Under the Stars Series in Ventura CA
Just a little bit further away is the Music Under the Stars series in Ventura. From July 9 to Sept. 3, attendees will be able to hear a wide variety of great music at the Olivas Adobe, such as a Fleetwood Mac tribute, a Beatles tribute, a Queen tribute and New Orleans blues. Concerts are on Saturday nights and start at 7:30 p.m.
Live Oak Music Festival in Santa Barbara CA
Being in Santa Barbara, the Live Oak Music Festival is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. This year’s festival is June 17-19 and takes place at the Live Oak Camp, which is located off Highway 154. There will be plenty of food and beverages to enjoy, in addition to music from artists like Wynonna & The Big Noise, Sarah Jarosz, African Guitar Summit and James McMurtry.
