Volkswagen is one of the most recognizable international automobile manufacturers. The company is a true giant in Europe, and is continuing to grow in North America, Australia, and all other parts of the globe. Are you shopping for a new or used car? There are so many car brands and models, it can be overwhelming to pick out one in particular. Continue to read three reasons why a Volkswagen might be right for you.
Three reasons to buy a Volkswagen
1.) They are durable
When we buy new car, we don’t expect to buy a new one in just a few years. It is safely assumed that that car will last for up to a generation, if not for the rest of your life. Volkswagen’s are impeccably built, and will last you nearly a lifetime, if properly maintained. Whether it is a Jetta, Passat, Beetle, or Lavida, you won’t have to worry about its longevity. Get regular oil changes, perform the minor upkeep needed for any vehicle, and your Volkswagen will still be running decades from now.

2.) They are efficient
Generally, Volkswagen models have a very good MPG rating. Of course, this differs by model. The Jetta, one of Volkswagen’s most popular models, averages 33 MPG combined city and highway. The Golf Alltrack averages 26 MPG combined, the Golf’s mean MPG is 29 combined, and the Beetle checks in with a 29 MPG combined rating. Why buy a Volkswagen? Well, almost any model you find will be good on your gas card.
3.) They are inexpensive
Despite Volkswagens’ longevity and durability, they are relatively inexpensive. The 2017 Jetta’s brand new MSRP was as low as $17,895, compared to Honda’s MSRP for its Civic which is just a tick under $20,000. Volkswagen’s Passat starts at an MSRP of $22,440, lower than Ford’s MSRP for the Taurus of $27,345. You will still pay for quality with Volkswagen, but this quality won’t break your bank.
